宝马iX的外观整体采用原石切割设计，看起来十分科幻，其长度和宽度与X5相当，高度与X6相近，风阻系数为0.25。前脸封闭式巨型双肾格栅很吸睛，与更加细长的前大灯组相得益彰，同时机盖上的LOGO周围也采用蓝色装饰，以此来突出纯电车的身份。
