宝马将在中国推出特别限量版车型：全新8系曙光特别版，其中G14 8系敞篷轿跑车限量1台，G15 8系双门轿跑车限量1台，G16 8系四门轿跑车限量5台，具体售价如下：
[*]四门轿跑840i xDrive售价119.8万元；
[*]双门轿跑车840i售价124.8万元；
[*]敞篷轿跑车840i售价133.8万元。

[*]宝马产品线量产车型首次使用双拼色车身漆涂装工艺，采用个性化定制磨砂黑色作为底色，并加入了传承于3.0 CSL E9上曾使用过的锡兰金色金属漆，外观整体看起来十分个性；
[*]锡兰金色20寸轮毂，Y式728M轮毂；
[*]锡兰金色外后视镜罩；
